Ontario Celebrates Skilled Trades Week
November 3, 2025
The first Monday of November marks Skilled Trades Week, introduced through our government’s Working for Workers Six Act and celebrated annually during the first week of November to honour the builders of our past, present, and future.
I’m proud to host Ontario’s first-ever Skilled Trades Week in Ontario. This event welcomes students, job seekers, second-chance career seekers, Canadians and new Canadians to explore rewarding careers in the skilled trades, while employers connect with future talent and help strengthen Ontario’s workforce.
This event is FREE for all!

Under Premier Ford’s leadership, our government is making historic investments to ensure Ontario remains a province built by workers — for workers. We are breaking down barriers for youth to enter the trades through Level Up! career fairs, training over one million workers through the Skills Development Fund, training up to 12,000 more apprentices in the next three years, and expanding As-of-Right labour mobility so experienced tradespeople from across Canada can bring their skills to Ontario easier than ever before.
- Ontario’s skilled tradespeople build the roads, schools, and hospitals that shaped our province — their dedication and sacrifice continue to inspire us today.
- Our government is celebrating their contributions by establishing Skilled Trades Week, introduced in our sixth Working for Workers Act.
- This Skilled Trades Week, held annually during the first week of November, honours those who built Ontario and are now mentoring the next generation.
- This is a tribute to the men and women who turned blueprints into reality — and who continue to build our next generation.
- Under Premier Ford’s leadership, our government stands shoulder to shoulder with workers, unions, and industry partners to ensure Ontario remains the best place to live, work, and build a future.
- To deliver on our $200 billion infrastructure commitment, we are ensuring the next generation learns from the best through additional investments, cutting red tape and increasing accessibility — supporting the builders, innovators, and mentors who made Ontario what it is today.
